Summertime is usually the time where changes are made, bringing you our newest personnel appointments in our Archdiocese. A few days ago His Grace Richard Gagnon announced the next personnel appointments that will be effective July 1st, 2017.

1. Reverend Wayne G. Morrissey becomes Pastor of St. John Brebeuf Parish in Winnipeg.
2. Reverend Leo M. Fernandes becomes Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in Virden & Paroisse St-Jean in Grande-Clairiére.
3. Reverend Barry D. Schoonbaert becomes Pastor of Christ the King Parish in Stonewall, St. Joseph’s Parish in Stony Mountain and St. John Vianney in Teulon.
4. Reverend Mark A. Tarrant becomes Pastor of St. Vital Parish in Winnipeg.
5. Reverend Kaleah E. Abdella becomes Priest Chaplain of the Holy Saviour Geez Rite Community located at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Winnipeg (effective immediately) and Parochial Vicar of St. John Brebeuf Parish in Winnipeg (effective August 19,2017).
6. Reverend James W. deBeer is granted a leave of absence.
7. Reverend S. Eric Zadji becomes Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Winnipeg.
8. Reverend Patrick Neufeld becomes Pastor of Ste-Rose-de-Lima Parish in Ste-Rose-du-Lac, Paroisse Notre-Dame-des-Victoires in Laurier and Our Lady of the Nativity Parish in McCreary, Notre Dame Parish in Toutes-Aides, Holy Family in Crane River, St. Joseph’s in Ebb & Flow, St. Patricia’s in Mallard, St. Anthony’s in Rorekton, Immaculate Conception in Skownan, Canadian Martyrs in Waterhen and the reduced service mission of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Meadow Portage.

9. Reverend Alfred Grzempa, OMI, currently Pastor of Holy Ghost Parish in Winnipeg was recently elected Provincial of the Assumption Province of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
10. Reverend Jacek Nosowicz, OMI, will become Pastor of Holy Ghost Parish in Winnipeg on September 1st, 2017.
