Further Loosening of COVID restrictions

Further Loosening of COVID restrictions

Dear parishioners and friends of St. Nicholas Tavelich Church,

You might be already aware that the province has further loosened the restrictions concerning faith-based gatherings starting July 17, 2021.

  1. Mass Times & Attendance

In compliance with the current provincial regulations, we are allowed to have 50% of the church capacity however 6 feet (2 metres) social distancing must be followed between members from different household. It would be safe to say we can have at least 80 people present at any one mass. For the weekend of July 17, 2021 if you were not called to attend the 11:00am mass you can attend Saturday 4:00PM mass or Sunday 9:00am mass without a need to register if you are a registered member of St. Nicholas Tavelich parish. You must sign-in with your name and phone number upon entry. From this weekend on you  must register for 11:00am mass only. The other masses Saturday 4:00PM and Sunday 9:00am you can attend on first come first serve. Once again upon entry you must sign in with you name and phone number.

Attendance at the masses during the week, is on the first come first serve basis. In other words, you don’t have to be invited or register to attend mass during the week. Upon entering the church, you will need to sign in your name and phone number for contact tracing purposes.

For funerals and baptisms the capacity is 25 people.

  1. Gathering protocols

These include and are not limited to: if you are sick or experience symptoms of COVID-19 please stay home, wearing a face covering is required at ALL TIMES , physical distancing, using hand sanitizer etc. Thank you in advance for following these protocols.

With assurance of my prayers,

Fr. Peter
