Sveti Nikola – 2022

by STNT
The spirit of giving was in full swing this past Sunday, December 4th, as our annual Sveti Nikola celebrations finally returned.
We started off the afternoon with a hot dog lunch, coffee bar, and the ever-popular hot chocolate bar followed by some delicious baked goods. After some yummy treats and warm drinks, the children entertained us all with delightful songs, beautiful dances, and fun games (some with fierce competition).
The festivities continued as our guest of honour, Sveti Nikola, made his way to our celebrations. As is the custom, the Krampus wasn’t too far behind; a reminder for the kids to be good. However, thanks to Sveti Nikola, the Krampus didn’t stay long. The children were soon smiling once again, as Sveti Nikola gathered the children and handed out gifts to the good girls and boys of our community.
Sveti Nikola always shows us how to give and be generous. We’d like to thank all those who were generous in the giving of their time, talents, and gifts that helped to make this fun event happen for our community. Thank you to the children for entertaining us and bringing joy and Christmas Spirit into our lives. Thank you to Father Peter and the church community for giving us the space and funds to put on such a wonderful event. It is truly a blessing to gather with so many wonderful people and to be able to create these cherished memories for our children.
Sveti Nikola, thank you for taking the time to visit us during your busiest time of year. We hope we will see you again next year. Kids, keep being and doing good; spread that Christmas Cheer! Merry Christmas!
